Lift Sharing

We encourage lift sharing to walks. Not only does this provide good company on the journey and have environmental benefits, it also makes for more space in the car parks.

For walks within the forest area, this is best done by private arrangements with fellow walkers, so the walk leader doesn’t need to make any arrangements. The published walk details typically ask walkers to share lifts where possible.

For the longer walks outside the forest area, leaders can chose to advertise meeting for lift sharing from Morrisons, West Totton and Oak Road, Dibden Purlieu We normally give the following info in the walks programme.

Many of the walk start points have been used before, the walks coordinator is happy to advise on the pick up times that were used, The start time from Oak road is 20 minutes earlier than Morrison.
