A note from Mike Evans, chairman, about Forestry England parking fees in the New Forest. Fees apply at 129 car parks. You can buy an annual pass or pay as you go. See Forestry England's parking pages for the full detail.
Park as often as you like for around £1.85 a week. About £96 as a yearly payment, or £8 a month by direct debit.
Card machines are at a list of the busier car parks, including Bolderwood, Bolton's Bench, Burley, Picket Post, Stoney Cross and Wilverley Inclosure. The rest have no payment machines.
Pay at the machine if there is one, or through the RingGo website or phone number. You have until midnight the following day, or you may receive a penalty charge.
Forestry England employed extra rangers with handheld monitors that record number plates and check later whether the owner has paid.
