Ashley Walk figure 8 - 8.8 and 5 mile options

Start from Ashley Walk Forestry England car park SU 186157
the first five miles will be walking through Ashley, Godshill and ancient castles, total 5 miles then back to Ashley Walk car park.  We will have a picnic lunch at Ashley Walk car park and after lunch those who wish to complete the 8.8 miles will walk an extra 3.8 miles through Pitts Wood passing near WW2 “submarine pens” and bomb targets before returning to Ashley Walk car park. The walk provides lovely views of the New Forest. Please wear suitable walking boots or wellingtons.  Please bring plenty of water to drink if the weather is hot.
